If you can find someone who can write Japanese, try using Overture Keyword Advise Tool. Just type in a word and click, then it tells you the number of searches conducted for that word at Yahoo! Japan in a recent month. It also gives you a list of keyword combinations that include the word you typed in with search frequency numbers attached for each combination.
